I’m grateful as always to be a Albany, Clifton Park, Saratoga and Troy NY birth photographer. Everett’s birth was no exception. Before sharing, I would like a fair warning, this is the most raw birth images I have been allowed to share to date. I am so, so grateful for this client for allowing me to share her amazing strength, grit and beautiful birth with the world!
Mama worked hard for her VBAC and she did an amazing job. It was wonderful to see the care of the nurses at Burdett Birth Center and the fantastic midwife, Shelby, from Capital Region Midwifery. I love being witness to positive birth stories.
When I walked in the room mom was laboring on the hospital bed. She was definitely getting closer to transition, because there wasn’t a lot of small talk. Her husband and wonderful partner never left her side and often had a hand on her in encouragement and support. They had such a beautiful connection. Her mom watched gracefully and silently in the corner but still baring witness to this beautiful birth and strength of her daughter. Like I said above, mom’s midwife was amazing, encouraging, calm, graceful. Just what she needed to bring her baby safely earth side and getting the vbac she had envisioned.
