It was an honor to attend the home birth of baby Cuyler! Momma is beautiful and a warrior. Dad was attentive and supportive the entire time, even balancing in weird positions and finally jumping in the tub to support his wife.
Some of my favorite parts:
Mom and dad kept the pregnancy a surprise and instead of doing a pregnancy announcement just did a here is our new baby announcement saying “Santa came early” which was perfect for this December baby.
The Elf on the Shelf was keeping watch during the whole birth (see if you can spot him in a picture below).
Mom had individual embroidered shirts for each of their 5 children and dad, “Papa elf, Sister Elf Charlotte, Brother Elf Carter etc.. and of course a custom “Santa special delivery” had for the new arrival.
The BEST part though was having 4/5 older siblings attend and witness the birth. It was magical and the love of the family flowed through the house. The kids were so sweet and attentive to mom and baby Cuyler.
