Being an Albany NY Fresh 48 photographer is such an honor. Especially when clients combine with a birth story! Baby A is the sweetest and he is already so loved by mom and dad! Check out all these darling outfits mom had ready for him during his session! It was such an honor to meet this beautiful family and be a part of his birth. You can check out his birth session here 🙂

FAQs

What is a Fresh 48 session?

Fresh 48 sessions happen with in the first 48 hours after birth. This is a great addition to birth photography or used as an alternative to birth photography if that’s not your jam. Fresh 48 help capture the setting where your child was born and document the newness that wears off so quickly in the first few days.

The hospital provides a photographer, why use you?

This is a great questions, many hospitals in the capital region do use a photographer from a certain company. I value photography at every level, even personal photos with a phone. The hospital photographer is a great resource if that is what you are looking for, however if you are looking for higher quality images I am your girl. I will take time to work around your schedule, have a knowledge of available light in all conditions and images will be professionally edited.

When do you come to the hospital/home for the fresh 48 session?

Please contact me when you are in labor or right after baby is born. Great communication is key so I will have time to plan. Different than birth photography, I only come during regular business hours which 9-5. From there we will discuss a good time of day for both of us and lighting.

What hospitals do you serve?

I am an Albany NY Fresh 48 photographer at Burdett Birth Center, Bellevue Hospital, St. Peters Hospital and Saratoga Hospital. As long as it is in the Capital Region I can make it work, even if I haven’t shot their yet.

How do I book a fresh 48 sessions?

Email me and I will get you set up! The sooner the better so I can make sure I am in town. I am still “on call” for fresh 48 but not the quite the same level as a birth.
