It was very exciting being part of the waiting process (nothing near the same as the expectant parents but [...]]]> I am so happy that I finally get to share this post.  I had been anticipating this birth session for months after I found out that my very dear friend, Ashley, was pregnant with baby #4! It was very exciting being part of the waiting process (nothing near the same as the expectant parents but still fun) especially because little miss M decided that she was going to hang out in mom’s belly for 12 extra days :)

The extra exciting thing was that this was my first official birth photography experience.  I attempted to take pictures of Ashley’s third birth but I missed it because he came out too fast! But I did get to document the precious moments after he was born, you can see those pictures here.

Because baby #3 came out so fast Ashley got to the hospital earlier this time so she would have time to relax and get all settled to have a great birth experience.  She used the wonderful program Hypnobabies for this birth (and baby #3) which helps you get into deep relaxation using self hypnosis for a drug free birth.  As you will see from the pictures below you can tell how peaceful and relaxing her birth was.  It was one of the most amazing things to witness especially since I used Hypnobabies for the birth of Oliver, so now I have not only experienced it but witnessed it too.  I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering a drug free birth!  Here is Oliver’s birth story if you are curious :)

Ashley seriously rocked it!  We got to the hospital at about 9pm and miss M was born at 12:13 am, and I LOVE how her midwife was with her almost the entire time, totally sold me on that if I ever have another baby, wow!  So here is the documentation of baby M’s peaceful birth story :)
